Who can participate?*

You could participate if:
✔️ You have been diagnosed with heart failure and have symptoms such as fatigue, shortness of breath, or swelling.
✔️ In the last 6 months:
-
You were hospitalized due to worsening heart failure, or
-
You went to the emergency room for this reason and received intravenous treatment.
✔️ You are currently undergoing medical treatment for your heart, but you cannot use certain medications such as mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists (due to medical advice, side effects, or low kidney function).
✔️ Your kidneys are functioning at a reduced but stable level (your doctor has told you that you have reduced kidney function).
✔️ You are 18 years of age or older.
You may not be able to participate if:
✖️ You have had a heart attack, stroke, or major heart surgery in the last 3 months.
✖️ You are on the waiting list for a heart transplant or use cardiac assist devices.
✖️ You have severe liver disease, active cancer undergoing treatment, or a medical condition that significantly limits your life expectancy.
✖️ You have type 1 diabetes.
✖️ You have recently had COVID-19 (in the last 4 weeks) or were hospitalized for this reason in the last 3 months.

What does participation involve?
If you are a candidate and decide to participate, the study may include:
